Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili responds to International Republican Institute's (IRI) public opinion survey, saying he "does not trust the polls commissioned by the United National Movement."

"We have never trusted surveys conducted by UNM research organizations on the ground. We certainly respect the IRI and NDI, but the personnel they have hired and research conducted on the ground raises a lot of question marks. The fieldwork is directly managed and controlled by the National Movement. Neither the IRI nor the NDI commissioned the research. The most important research is election day," - Garibashvili said.

According to a survey by the IRI, if the October 2021 local elections were held next week, 26% of the population would vote for the Georgian Dream, 14% for the United National Movement, and 9% for Giorgi Gakharia party.

At the same time, according to the same survey, 51% of the surveyed population negatively assess the work of the government.

Only 7% of the population believe that the government is working well. 38% think that the work of the government is satisfactory, while 4% have no answer to the question.

As for the issue of holding early parliamentary elections, 51% of respondents fully or partially support the opposition demand for snap parliamentary elections.

IRI released public opinion survey, which was conducted in June 15-30. The sample consisted of 1,500 residents of Georgia aged 18 and older and eligible to vote. It is representative of the general population by age, gender, region and settlement size. The margin of error does not exceed +/-2.5%.
