Nika Gvaramia, Director General of the Mtavari TV, said that the State Security Service (SSS) was preparing reports for Bidzina Ivanishvili on private details of politicians and public figures. Gvaramia read out surveillance summaries on the air, which, according to him, was prepared by SSS. It contains details of the personal lives of politicians, journalists, clergy and public figures. According to Gvaramia, the recordings contain dozens of conversations and reflect who, when and under what circumstances these individuals met. Among the records are conversations between representatives of the NGOs, two of which have been confirmed by the Director of Transparency International, Eka Gigauri and the former Chairman of Georgian Democracy Initiative Giorgi Mshvenieradze.
Nika Gvaramia suggested that the reports were sanctioned by the Head of the SSS Grigol Liluashvili, his deputy Levan Akhobadze and the Director of the so-called Operative-technical Agency of SSS, Koba Kobadze.
Formula TV asked the State Security Service for a comment, which was bluntly rejected.
