Zuka Gumbaridze, Forumla TV CEO says the release of three individuals who violently assaulted Formula TV anchor Vakho Sanaia signals increased risks of the Government increasingly embracing groups akin to those who assaulted 53 journalists on July 5.

“In this country, the court is run by a clan, and this clan is run by a government that has very important elections ahead. This day has a dual significance, as municipal elections and as a referendum. Despite withdrawing from Charles Michel agreement, the Georgian Dream has to fulfill its obligations. It seems that the Dream Party bosses have decided that their main ally and stronghold in this election will be the street. The city is decorated with posters of Tbilisi mayoral candidate, from the ruling party and we see that he promises a city full of life. However, we see that today the country and the city are full of violence. After the July 5 events, we can be sure that a very difficult month awaits us,” - said Zuka Gumbaridze, CEO of Formula TV, on August 25.
