InformNapalm a popular volunteer platform countering Russian hybrid war in Ukraine has published an investigation revealing a GRU-linked Russian citizen previously involved in Russia’s effort in Ukraine is running businesses in Georgia and Kazakhstan under a fake name.

“Does Georgia’s hospitality include hosting Wagner mercenaries on its territory?” a former Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) general Igor Guskov and an expert with the Kyiv-based Ukrainian Center for Analysis and Security that authored the report said in a Facebook post.

Kirill Krivko, a former member of the 3rd Special Operations Brigade of the General Staff of the Russian Army (GRU) fought against Ukraine in Donbas for several years, where he was wounded. In 2016-17, he fought in Syria, this time with an unofficial Russian military intelligence unit, better known as private military group Wagner PMC.

Most recently, in October 2017, he changed name to become Kirill Alyoshechkin launching businesses in Georgia, establishing Construction Service Georgia in Tbilisi. The investigation features number of Krivko’s photographs walking around downtown Tbilisi.

Russian secret services set up plethora of fake businesses in Ukraine until 2014 as cover for intelligence gathering and covert operations.

The Ukrainian Center for Analysis and Security says it has officially addressed the Georgian Embassy in Ukraine supplying it with detailed information about Krivko, whom Ukraine regards as “war criminal”

In a August 30 statement, the State Security Service of Georgia dismissed the investigation "purposeful discreditation attempt” of the service.
